Welcome to my recently launched website!

Having fun in Milan

Milano, Italia March 2008. Hello and welcome to my recently launched website! If you are here visiting the site, there is a good chance you are interested in the Olympics, and volleyball. Maybe your just interested in learning more about me and the volleyball lifestyle. The site is set up for you to do just that.

On the right side, you will see links to my personal blog (lifestyle and volley happenings), general volleyball news updated live via RSS feeds, my personal bio and volleyball resume, and finally galleries of my volleyball pics throughout the years (both professional and USA team).World League banner

I have to start by saying that I have prepared for over 8 years (since childhood actually) to be an Olympian....so its quite and exciting time. I was fortunate enough to have gone to the Athens 2004 Olympics were our team placed 4th. This time, the Olympics are in Beijing, only months away, and the team and I are confident that we can medal this time around.

I am currently playing in Milan Italy, for the team Sparkling Milano (see pic on right!). You can find a link to the website here: www.a1sparklingmilano.com . You can see once you have gone there that we are very close to being done with our season (2 matches left). Although it is in Italian, you can probably play around and see some pics of our team, some video of matches, and fun volleyball stuffSetting the ball. We are currently in 8th position and have a chance to make the playoffs.

What about team USA? I will be flying home after the season is done here and heading to California. Shortly after my arrival I will be dedicating my life for the next 5 months to arriving in the best condition possible to make the Olympics memorable. We have a number of competitions before the Olympics with team USA that will help us compete and prepare for the rigors of the games. Most notably, the 2008 World League. Last year, for the first time since 1992, we placed 3rd. It was a great result for our team and we hope to improve on that this time around. You can see all results live at www.fivb.org by clicking on the banner world league (both past and future). You can also find a link to dates, ticket information, and get the sales for our events by clicking here. Also, just click on the world league 08 poster above to get a larger poster image which can be downloaded and saved! The USA volleyball website also always has our updated competition schedule.

This site is an evolving process, so make sure you write me at g2volleyball@yahoo.com to make suggestions (hopefully constructive) on way to improve the site...or just introduce yourself and ask me any questions. I will soon have the ability to add users to the blog so you can respond directly on the site itself.

Dont forget to check out our sponsors section and support those who support me in my Olympic dreams!
